CHARLESTON — Three people from the region were confirmed as deaths from the COVID-19 coronavirus on Monday by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. CHARLESTON — Active cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus again slightly decreased between Wednesday and Thursday in Wood County and across the state, the Department of Health and Human Resources reported Thursday morning. CHARLESTON — Active COVID-19 cases in Wood County were below 40 while statewide cases were below 800 on Wednesday, according to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. Thirty-eight active cases were reported in Wood County on Wednesday, 21 less than in the Monday morning pandemic report from the department. Wood County among those turning yellow as COVID cases increase

CHARLESTON — Wood County on Friday jumped to yellow on the County Alert System Map, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources said. Wood has been green, the lowest level, since Sept. 22 on the map based on infection rates and percent positivity. Previously, the county was yellow. West Virginia COVID cases maintain plateau; no new deaths reported

CHARLSTON — Active cases remained under a thousand statewide in West Virginia where no deaths were confirmed in the 24-hour period between Wednesday and Thursday mornings, according to the Department of Health and Human Resources.
