Warren’s Starcher state runner-up in high jump

COLUMBUS — Warren senior Sydney Starcher cleared 5 feet, 6 inches in the high jump to earn state runner-up honors Friday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. Starcher finished behind only Morgan Johnson of Woodward, who won the state title at 5-7. While it’s Starcher’s third time earning All-Ohio status in the event, this was her best individual placement in the outdoor meet. She was also runner-up at the indoor state meet this season.
