Ohio man sentenced in connection with Parkersburg drug arrest

CHARLESTON – Enouch Jairus Kermue, 37, of Columbus, was sentenced Thursday to 10 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for distribution of 50 or more grams of methamphetamine. According to court documents and statements made in court, on Nov. 20, 2024, Kermue, while in a vehicle parked outside a Parkersburg business, sold approximately 212 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant. Newport man among three killed in Saturday accidents

MARIETTA -- Three people were killed in traffic accidents Saturday in the region, including a Newport man in Washington County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Tyler R. Auville, 34, Newport, was killed when the 1965 Ford Mustang he was driving went off State Route 7 in Ohio Township, struck an embankment and overturned, the Marietta Post said. Auville was extracted from the car and taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital Marietta Campus where he was later pronounced dead, the post said. CHARLESTON – A former teacher and member of the West Virginia House of Delegates has been indicted by a federal grand jury on three counts related to grooming and sexual activity with a minor. Elliott Pritt, 36, of Oak Hill, is charged with sexual exploitation of a child, coercion and enticement of a child, and tampering with a witness, victim or informant, according to a press release from U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia Moore Capito.
