PARKERSBURG - Wood County Magistrate Court recently released the following reports May 27:

* A preliminary hearing was waived for Sean Wayne Smith, 437 Meadow Lane, Apt. 14A, Parkersburg, on a charge of receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle. The case was bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Roger Dale Logston Jr., 1505 20th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, methamphetamine, and held on a $200,000 surety bond.

* Jesse J. McDaniel, 828 Lakeview Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of battery on a government representative and obstructing law enforcement. He was held on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Levi Marcus Weidner, 38 High St., Vincent, was arraigned on charges of obstruction and providing false information. He was released on a $4,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Timothy Michael Barshney, homeless, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of tampering with an automobile and held on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Christina May Logston, homeless, Parkersburg, was arraigned on one count of petit larceny and released on a $2,000 surety bond.

* Elizabeth Joy Heatherington, Marana, Ariz., was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance, open container and two counts of obstruction. She was held on a $3,500 surety bond.

* Nathan Jay Hartness, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

* Damon Lynn Butler, 311 Hawthorn St., Apt. 3, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance and open container. He was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Dakota J. Prive, 4836 15th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned for possession of a controlled substance and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* A preliminary hearing was waived for William Joseph Dawson, 1111 Elder St., Parkersburg, on charges of breaking and entering a non-residence and prohibited person possessing a firearm.

* David Lee McPherson II, P.O. Box 208, Waverly, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting and was assessed $276.48. He was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $99.98 to Survival Ridge Trading Post of Williamstown.

* Michael Lee Ball, 312 Center St., Cardington, Ohio, pleaded guilty to battery on a government representative, obstruction with threats of harm and trespassing. He was assessed $539.44 and sentenced to two 60-day terms in jail, to be served concurrently. As part of a plea agreement, a charge for failure to process/fingerprint was dismissed.

* Ivan Joseph Willis, 943 Swann St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting and was assessed $176.48, with a civil penalty of $50 to be paid to Sheetz. He was sentenced to jail for six months.

* Lelend Michael Rader, 608 Cherry Ave., Williamstown, pleaded guilty to expired vehicle registration and speeding 10mph or less in excess on a highway. He was assessed $367.96.

* Crecy A Taylor, 376 Dublin Drive, Apt. 9, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to defective equipment and operation without certificate of inspection or failure to produce certificate. He was assessed $372.96.

* Keith Mitchell Saunders Sr., 1005 Lynn St., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to shoplifting and was assessed $186.48 with a civil penalty of $50 to Sheetz.

* Payton E. Valentine, 201 Third St., Apt. 7J, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to having no valid driver's license and was assessed $216.48.

* Jordan Michael Powell, 1620 Oak St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to having no proof of insurance and was assessed $376.48. The charge was reduced from the original count of failure to maintain motor vehicle insurance.

* James Earl Hobson, 399 Porter Road, Ravenswood, pleaded guilty to an unsecure load and was assessed $201.48.

* Tyler Austin Lafferty, 186 Cedar Lane, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to a seat belt violation and was assessed $25.

* Stephen Patrick Anderson, 52 Hickory Heights Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to driving while suspended or revoked and was assessed $276.48.
