West Virginia DOH readies Wirt County efforts

WIRT COUNTY — The West Virginia Division of Highways has announced a pair of projects this week in Wirt County.

Beginning today, W.Va. 5, Little Kanawha Parkway, will remain closed as slip repairs are conducted by F2S Infrastructure beginning 0.22 miles west of the intersection with Wirt County Route 35/11, Fish Pot Road. Crews will be working between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday with an anticipated completion date of July 26. Portable traffic lights will be in place, but minor delays can be expected.

Beginning Friday, single lane closures will occur on Wirt CR 35/6, Chestnut Run Road, for resurfacing by Kelly Paving. The work will begin at the junction of W.Va. 5 and Wirt CR 34/1, Burning Springs Road, to milepost 1.86. Crews will be working between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day through the anticipated completion date of July 12. Flagging personnel will be present.
