MOV Sports Hall of Fame Banquet Set for July 25
The Mid-Ohio Valley Sports Hall of Fame has announced its inductees for the Class of 2026.
Joining the prestigious club this summer are the following 10 individuals: Mark Allen Barnhart (Pleasants County), Scott Cozzens (Washington County), Jeff Kefalos (Wood County), Shannon Leasure (Noble County), Connor Louden (Wood County), Mark Martin (Jackson County), Larry Maxwell (Wood County), Jennifer Jones Palagi (Jackson County), John Peters (Ritchie County) and Gary Watson (Wirt County).
The annual induction banquet will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, at the Grand Pointe Conference and Reception Center in Vienna.
Power Point Tennis
The Mid Ohio Valley Tennis Association (MOVTA)’s Power Point Tennis summer schedule for June at the City Park tennis courts is as follows: June 14 from 2-4 p.m. will be Sign Off Sunday, and June 28 from 2-4 p.m. will be tennis matches.
Everything is free. If a junior player is interested in signing up, they can stop by the City Park courts between 2-4 p.m. on the days listed above or go to our website at www.movtatennis.com to look at the program’s description and signup. Arc of Mid-Ohio Valley Golf Scramble
The Arc of Mid-Ohio Valley Golf Scramble is scheduled for Saturday, June 13 at The Links at Woodridge Golf Course.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. the day of the event with a shotgun start slated for 10 a.m.
This is a four-person mix scramble and is limited to the first 20 teams, although individuals may enter and will be placed on a team. Entry fee is $100 per person and includes green fees, cart rental, box lunch, and awards reception. Hole sponsorship is $175. Sponsorships are available.
Prizes will be given out for holes-in-one, team prizes, closest-to-the-pin and more.
