New book kicks off Amish series

Bestselling author Beth Wiseman kicks off a new book series, An Amish Journey, with her new book, “Hearts in Harmony.”

Levi and Mary met once as kids at a chance meeting at an English friend’s house, and bonded over a love of music — though forbidden to them. Now as adults, they are drawn back to their friend’s house as Adeline is facing both financial difficulty, health concerns and a sad heart after the death of her husband. She enjoys visits from her two young friends, including a visit from her young family member, Natalie. With young people back in the house, she is feeling a bit of rejuvenation again, at least in spirit, even as her body begins to give out. While Mary and Levi struggle with their feelings for each other, as well as their feelings for the Amish way of life and music, will they be able to come to terms with what they both want for the future? What is Natalie really there for? Does she have other motives other than family love?

This is a sweet story, not only of romance, but of older generations and younger generations coming together in friendship. It’s a tear jerker as well as an uplifting story.

“Hearts in Harmony” is published by Zondervant. It is $15.99 and 320 pages long.
