Fire destroys home in Vienna

VIENNA - A Vienna home sustained heavy damage in a Monday afternoon fire. At around 1 p.m., fire crews were dispatched to 4301 9th Ave. in Vienna to a report of a structure fire. "There were active flames coming out of the kitchen and a sunroom area," said Vienna Fire Chief Steve Scholl. The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department received assistance from the Waverly Volunteer Fire Department and the Williamstown Volunteer Fire Department. CHARLESTON – Enouch Jairus Kermue, 37, of Columbus, was sentenced Thursday to 10 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for distribution of 50 or more grams of methamphetamine. According to court documents and statements made in court, on Nov. 20, 2024, Kermue, while in a vehicle parked outside a Parkersburg business, sold approximately 212 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant. Parkersburg Woman's Club hosting 'Play Music on the Porch Day'
