Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force announces arrest

An Akron man was arrested this week and charged with possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine, the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force announced. At approximately 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, agents with the task force initiated a traffic stop on a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze on Camden Avenue, near the East Street intersection, after observing a traffic violation, a release from the task force said. Drug Court celebrates graduations

PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Juvenile Drug Court will graduate its 99th, 100th and 101st graduates at 4 p.m. Wednesday, the second court in West Virginia to reach the milestone. The local Juvenile Drug Court accepted its first participant in November 2010 and is the second longest continuously operating Juvenile Drug Court in West Virginia. The drug court generally meets weekly in the courtroom of the presiding judge, Family Court Judge Darren Tallman. The case coordinator is Larry Whitehair of the Wood County Juvenile Probation office.
