WATERFORD – Waterford High School physical education teacher Matthew Ryan Warden was charged with two counts of assault to a student and arrested May 7 just after 5 p.m., according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office jail roster and Marietta Municipal Court documents. Grantsville resident involved in fatal crash

ELIZABETH — On Sunday, at approximately 2:50 p.m., Trooper T. C. Winters responded to a single vehicle crash, on Little Kanawha Parkway near Chestnut Run Road in Elizabeth. Upon arrival, Winters learned that a vehicle driven by Steve Boggs, 59, of Grantsville, was traveling west on Little Kanawha Parkway (WV Route 5) when the vehicle went off the roadway, struck a pole, rolled over and came to rest upright.
