Wood County delegates sponsor 80 bills in first week of West Virginia legislative session
PARKERSBURG — The Wood County delegation to the West Virginia Legislature has sponsored at least 80 bills going into the first full week of the session.
Among the proposed House and state Senate bills are income tax cuts, protection against the demolition or removal of statues or plaques denoting history, permitting religious exemptions to compulsory immunizations and requiring cameras in every classroom and room where children are present.
The 60-day session commenced on Jan. 11.
