Dona Ruth Nolan, 87, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away April 25, 2026, at Paoli Hospital in Paoli, PA, with family by her side.

She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Vienna, WV. After many years of employment in the banking industry, she retired from One Valley Bank. Dona Ruth was born May 11, 1938, in Harrisville, WV, to the late Chesley C. and Pauline Kelley Wilson.

She is survived by her four children, Vanessa Peterson, Jeffrey C. Shriner (Amy), James K. Shriner, and Lisa N. Yoak (Bob); seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Dona is also survived by her three sisters, Lita Hogwood, Darelene Whited (David), and Annetta Dawson (Larry), plus several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred J. Nolan, and their infant daughter, Candace Kay Nolan; two brothers, James E. and Daniel Ray Wilson; her son-in-law, Dan Peterson; a great-grandson, Leo Peterson; brother-in-law, Mike Hogwood; her beloved maternal grandmother “Nettie” Kelley; and her special aunt, Geneva Arbogast.

A memorial service will be held at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, WV, on June 5, 2026, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jim Yoak officiating, followed by a graveside inurnment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
