Warrant issued for jail escapee
PARKERSBURG — Parkersburg Correctional Center and Jail reported having an escaped inmate on Wednesday.
In a press release issued at 3:46 p.m., the center stated there was an “escaped inmate from Parkersburg Correctional Center.”
Jeremy Dean Johnson, 28, removed his leg monitor around 3:10 p.m. near Sheetz in downtown Parkersburg, according to Lawence Messina, spokesman for the West Virginia Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety.
Johnson was originally incarcerated on charges of breaking and entering, burglary: daytime without breaking and grand larceny in Wood County.
He is described as 5-foot-4 inches tall, 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. On his left front forearm he has a tattoo of a Mortal Combat Dragon and on his right hand he has a web-star that looks like an A.
Wood County Magistrate Court issued a warrant for Johnson for arrest for felony escape
