PARKERSBURG – Plans for the Worthington Women’s Golf Association 2026 season have been finalized.

Lori Butler, 2026 chairwoman, met with the executive board and announced the season will begin with the annual dues coffee on Tuesday.

The dues coffee will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the meeting room at the Worthington Club House. Refreshments will be served and members are invited to attend, pay dues and sign up to play for the 2026 season, as well as reconnect with members they may not have seen since the close of last season.

All lady golfers, past and present members, as well as any prospective members who may be considering joining the Tuesday morning league are cordially invited to attend this event and get full details. There are both nine-hole player and 18-hole player options.

Regular league play is on Tuesdays and will begin May 5 and continue through Aug. 25. The regular season ends with a nine-hole scramble scheduled for Sept. 1. The annual league tournament to determine the 2026 champion will be Sept. 8 and 15. Tee times will begin at 8 a.m. in May, 7:30 a.m. June through August and 8 a.m. in September. Players always meet in the clubhouse after play for a luncheon served by association members.

There will also be special opportunities for play during the season, including the much-anticipated annual “Fun Day” which is scheduled for July 16. The theme for Fun Day is “Around the World in 18 Holes.” More details about this event that annually sees about 100 ladies from area courses joining in will be announced and provided to all area clubs as the event nears.
