From staff reports CHARLESTON — Active cases of COVID-19 in West Virginia continued to decrease, according to Tuesday’s statistics from the state Department of Health and Human Resources. It’s the second consecutive report with a decrease after cases rose each weekday since April 19, when they were at 446. CHARLESTON — Active COVID-19 cases are now nearing 900, continuing a trend of slowly increasing since the first of April, according to the Friday pandemic report by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. CHARLESTON — COVID-19 active cases are one shy of 800, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported on Thursday. The department reported 799 active cases, an increase of more than 500 in the last several weeks. Active cases were at 719 on Wednesday.
