West Virginia reports increase in COVID hospitalizations

CHARLESTON — Hospitalizations of COVID-19 patients jumped up 26 while COVID-19 active cases slightly decreased between the Monday and Wednesday pandemic updates by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. The department reported 1,325 active cases, a drop of 18 cases since the Monday update when 1,343 cases were reported. CHARLESTON — Active cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Wood County increased by half since Friday, according to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. CHARLESTON — Active COVID-19 cases climbed to more than 900 between Wednesday and Thursday, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources Thursday said.
