MARIETTA — Marietta will be welcoming a record 20 riverboat visits during the 2025 season this July and August, according to the Marietta-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

This year’s schedule includes nine visits from the American Heritage and 11 visits from the American Melody which the bureau described as “a milestone in river tourism for the historic riverfront city.”

During each stop, passengers will disembark and have the opportunity to explore Marietta and its many attractions. Tour buses will accompany the boats, transporting guests to regional attractions including Campus Martius Museum, the Children’s Toy and Doll Museum, the Henry Fearing House, The Castle and guided walks through Mound Cemetery, organizers said.

New this year, guests will also have the chance to visit Henderson Hall in Williamstown, they added. In addition to these organized tours, visitors will also have the chance to enjoy downtown Marietta through shopping, dining, and strolling the historic streets.

“We are so excited to have a record-breaking number of boat visits this year,” said Shannon Beacham, Marketing and Group Tour Director for the CVB. “When the boats come to town, they not only bring their passengers, but also attract visitors from surrounding cities who want to see the beautiful boats on the river, enjoy our shops and restaurants, and take in the historic charm of Marietta.”
