Forbes ranks Highmark Health among America’s Best Employers
PITTSBURGH — Highmark Health, a national blended health organization comprised of one of America’s largest health insurers and a 14-hospital integrated delivery network, was named to the Forbes list of America’s Best Employers for the second consecutive year.
Presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the list of 500 large and 500 midsize employers was assessed through an independent survey that evaluated companies based on six key drivers: the atmosphere at work and potential for development, image, working conditions, salary and wages, workplace, and diversity.
Employing more than 37,000 people, Highmark Health was honored as part of the 2023 Best Large Employers category.
“We’re elated that Forbes has once again recognized Highmark Health as one of the nation’s top employers,” said Larry Kleinman, EVP, chief human resources officer, Highmark Health. “This honor is a testament to our unwavering dedication to transforming health care and serving as a world-class workplace for our team members who make this innovative work a reality.”
According to Forbes, Statista surveyed 60,000 anonymous Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. The respondents were asked to rate, on a scale of zero to 10, how likely they would be to recommend their employer. They were also asked to nominate organizations other than their own and identify organizations they would not recommend to others.
In addition to Best Large Employer, Forbes has previously named Highmark Health among the Best Employers for Women and the Best Employers for Diversity. Allegheny Health Network, part of Highmark Health, has also been named by Forbes as one of America’s Best Employers by State for four consecutive years.
Highmark Health is headquartered in Pittsburgh with corporate offices in Camp Hill, Pa., Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Wilmington, Del., Parkersburg, and Buffalo, N.Y.
