Co-owner Bill Waldeck said the new Napoli’s van will deliver their new dinner feasts and the McHappy’s van will deliver baked goods in the morning hours. With the Napoli’s van is Tony Warner, vice president of catering, and with the McHappy’s van is Donna Rohr, delivery driver for McHappy’s.

BELPRE — For its 50th anniversary Napoli’s is changing the game as far as home delivery of food goes.

Bill Waldeck who owns Wal Bon, better known as Napoli’s and McHappy’s, with his brother Wayne, said they will have two new delivery vans for their businesses which will hit the road for the first time on Monday.

“Just call and we will bring you a feast,” Waldeck said. “All of these dinners we will be serving out of these will be called a feast with a salad to breadsticks to what ever you will want; we will have a special menu that will be on our website next week.”

Waldeck said after 50 years the businesses at Napoli’s, established in 1966, and McHappy’s, established in 1972, are still growing. Now there are nine Napoli’s locations as far away as Athens, and five McHappy’s locations. Their first location was in Belpre and the first Parkersburg location was on Seventh Street.

“We see this as a new segment of the food service business,” he said. “We are always extending our boundaries farther than most.”

A similar van will be also be in service for the McHappy’s side of the business.

Waldeck and Phyllis Workman, district manager, said the McHappy’s van will be in service from 6-10 a.m. Monday through Friday and Napoli’s will run from 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. seven days a week.

Waldeck said the new service can work for ordering a dinner for a family when cooking it yourself is not going to happen or if you find yourself playing host to a larger group.

“Say you didn’t order earlier or you get home and a bunch of people at your house,” he said. “Go online and get the special menu for this car, you get the extensive Momma’s favorites in this car.”

Waldeck said the feasts they deliver will include 96 ounces of green garden salad, breadsticks or garlic skillet rolls and 96 ounces of pasta. The pasta, meat and sauces will be all mixed together. There will be separate containers to salad dressing and drinks will be a la cart such as two liter bottles, he said.

Waldeck said the service for McHappy’s will work the same way.

“Say you’re having a meeting and you forget to get something,”  he said. “We can get you donuts, pastries, coffee, brownies or even a special birthday cake.”

Waldeck said the two vans will be based at the Napoli’s and McHappy’s locations on Main Street in Belpre and will serve Belpre, Parkersburg, Vienna and Pettyville. He added the numbers will not be the usual order number for a pizza or other items from Napoli’s.

“We call this Napoli’s Feast Dinners,” he said. “It’s enough for six people. We make everything ourselves from scratch, we make all our sauces, our breads and all our pasta.

“Pasta is our No. 1 thing.”

Waldeck said while the vans will be designated for the feasts only he said they would deliver other items if ordered along with the feasts for the van.

“I’m not saying we won’t add to that if someone wants a sandwich or if a child wants a pizza, but the thing we are selling here is the feast dinners,” he said. “There will 16 different dinners and three Momma’s original items, meatballs, meat sauce and marinara.”

Waldeck said the type of pasta used will be up to the customer. All of these will serve four to six people.
