County addressing problems with 107 tax tickets

PARKERSBURG – Wood County officials are looking at how to process certain tax payments after a problem was uncovered after the county did not receive certain paperwork from the state in how around 107 local taypayers redeemed their property from delinquent taxes. Wood County Sheriff Rick Woodyard and Wood County Assessor John Kelly, along with certain personnel from the Sheriff’s Tax Office and the Assessor’s office, appeared before the Wood County Commission on Thursday to discuss the matter.
