2. July is a celebratory month for fans of revolution. American Independence Day (July 4) and Bastille Day (July 14), which commemorates the storming of the Bastille and the dawn of the French Revolution in 1789, are celebrated in July.

3. On July 20, 1969, American astronaut Neil Armstrong, after stepping onto the surface of the moon, declared, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”
