Downtown PKB, Parkersburg’s Main Street community, is working with Locable, a marketing software company, to conduct a morning Marketing 3-4-5 Workshop and an afternoon marketing bootcamp for small businesses that are eager to learn more about marketing their business and services. The company will share with participants how they can create a more successful and impactful local business by simplifying local marketing into small bite-sized activities. The workshop is open to any small business owner or representative and is free to attend. The workshop and bootcamp are sponsored by WV Main Street.

The goal is to empower local businesses, nonprofits and civic organizations to better compete in today’s digital landscape by becoming more effective at marketing without having to become experts at marketing.

“Our local small businesses work hard to support the community and provide jobs and other opportunities. We wanted to bring these free marketing workshops as a resource to help them add tools to their toolbox so they can be even more successful,” Amanda Stevens, Executive Director, Downtown PKB, said.

Locable’s Marketing 3-4-5 Workshop will be held March 21 at the Downtown PKB office, 610 Market Street, 3rd Floor starting at 9 a.m. Attendees will be guided through a series of marketing exercises to create a marketing and content plan based on the Marketing 3-4-5 framework. The afternoon bootcamp will walk attendees through completing marketing setup and ongoing activities. Participants must attend the morning workshop to attend the afternoon bootcamp. The simple purpose is to help them avoid getting stuck trying to figure things on their own or making common costly mistakes.
