President Biden and Secretary of State Blinken have been working hard to secure a peace deal in the Middle East and keep getting stabbed in the back. The fundamentalist leaders on all sides there have two things in common. They thrive on conflict and chaos; and they want Trump to win in November. They know he’ll just make things worse. Israel’s Netanyahu and his radical cabinet, Iran’s supreme leader and the leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah all want Trump to win.

And so does Putin.

Trump also thrives on chaos. That’s why he ordered all of the Republicans to vote against the border bill that would have gone a long way in fixing a complex problem at the southern border.

Trump keeps describing America as a dark and failing nation in free fall. It is not. America is strong and prosperous and a pretty good place to live. Let’s keep it that way. I’m real excited about the prospects of Harris and Walz. And I hope the moderates in Israel, Iran and Gaza can somehow throw out those corrupt leaders.
