I recently had the opportunity to visit the Greater Parkersburg Convention and Visitors Bureau while attending the opening of an exhibit by Michael Coker, featuring the lives of Parkersburg residents Cecil “Zeke” Gabriel and Louise Marsh and the letters between them during World War I.

The new bureau is a well-designed facility, and one of which Parkersburg and Wood County can be proud. It should certainly rival other such facilities in the state. All those who had a hand in the CVB acquiring this property, those who provided funding for its completion, and the CVB staff who saw it to fruition, deserve a great big THANK YOU!
