Letter to the Editor: Write, defend faith
(Letter to the Editor - Graphic Illustration/MetroCreativeConnection)
I see once again that a “Sermon of the Week” features a recycled one. Nothing generally wrong with that, but where are the Christian pastors of today? Are there none who could write a sermon to be published? It is a sad day that no sermon of the week is being sent in, but there seems to be no end to submissions about climate change, atheism or any other choice of topics that are pleasing to the devil.
Yes, climate change is contrived and those who think it is not are simply pawns of Satan. God does not need our help to protect the earth. He can do it all by himself. Sad, but there are so many who believe He needs our help that it makes me wonder if they actually believe in God. We know the atheists do not and we can pray for them. They may not like it, but we can and do. What can they do for us? All they want to propose is that God does not exist and when we die, we are like a bug with no soul.
I call upon Bible-believing local pastors to make an effort to submit something. It is only 400 words, the same as letters to the editor are allowed.
Some have told me they have submitted in the past, but the “editor” edited their submission. Well, that is what an editor does, isn’t it? I have submitted letters that have been “edited” some, but you just deal with it and move on. No one likes to have letters edited, but that is life.
Christian pastors need to write and defend the faith, which is what apologetics is. The world is on the way to hell and they need to know the way to Heaven. Tell them before it is too late.
Jesus died on the cross for our sins and all one has to do is admit they are a sinner and need a savior. Ask Jesus to be your savior. He is willing and waiting.
Today is the day of salvation, no matter what some say. Atheist beliefs are hopeless and false. Jesus offers hope and truth in a fallen world. Take advantage of his free gift today
