It seems painfully clear that many Kool-Aid addicted millennials have chosen to believe that if socialism, aka communism, were instituted that no one would be poor and no one rich. A great equalizer, no?
Might we hypothetically experiment with a class of these Kool-Aiders? Inform them that the results of all tests will be averaged and no one will fail and none will receive an A grade. Substitute grades for dollars so that the concept may be more understandable.
Following the first test averaged grades were a B. Students who studied hard were upset while those that studied little were elated. After the second test those who little prepared did even less while those who worked hard decided on a free ride as well and were also little prepared. The second test average was a D. No happy campers.
Tests proceeded and scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling resulted in hard feelings and none worked for the benefit of all. To their great surprise, all failed and those honest enough learned that socialism will ever fail because when the reward is great the effort to succeed is worthwhile. But when government steals all the reward there remains no incentive to succeed. Wealth will never multiply by division. The government cannot give anything that it does not steal from others. Legislating the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of it can be sweet sounding. Legal thievery. What one receives unearned another must earn. When 50 percent learn there is no need to work because the other 50 percent will take care of them, and when the working half learns the futility of working because others will receive the workers’ just due, that becomes the beginning of the end of any nation.
In America, half are subsidized yet they claim to be victims. Guess which party encourages them. Their representatives campaign. When elected, the poor remain so. Yet even the poor in America have what folks elsewhere only dream of. Even so it clearly appears that they would have America become likewise.
But ever remember this: Free people are not equal while equal people are not free!
How will we recognize the end of the age? Matt: 24-4 “See to it that no one misleads you.”
And the founders wept.
