Nancy (nee Farson) Swartz Womeldorff passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, at The Wyngate in Parkersburg, W.Va., at the age of 97. She was born on September 7, 1928, in Parkersburg to Dorotha “Meme” McGrew Farson and Bernard Mitchell Farson. She graduated from Parkersburg High School and Mountain State Business College, and began working for George Powell, CPA. In 1964, she joined the staff of the United Fund, later the United Way, and retired several times (!), finally in 2004.
