Robert W. Mays, 96, of Washington, WV, died Sunday, July 26, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Parkersburg, WV a son of the late William A. and Agnus Adalaide (Fox) Mays.
He was a machinist and a United States Army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his son Kenneth Mays (Cathy) of Washington, WV; daughter Bonnie Moore of Parkersburg; granddaughter Erin Schaad (Travis) of Waterford, OH; great grandchildren Elijah and Avery Schaad; sister Ruthann Moore; and brother Laurie Mays (Mary).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Catharine (Greenburg) Mays; daughter Nancy Mays; grandson Justin Mays; three sisters Joan Root, Wanda Lee Camp, and Patsy Allen.
Services will be Thursday 1:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Frank Miller officiating. Burial will be at New England Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 12-1 PM.
