Charlotte L. Fauss

Charlotte L. Fauss, 95, of Williamstown, WV, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 6:00am. She was born in St. Mary’s WV December 18, 1929, to the late Eddie and Edna Golden.

Charlotte graduated from St. Mary’s High school class of 1947. She married her high school sweetheart, Mahlon L. “Rowdy” Fauss, on August 22, 1948, and they shared more than 62 years of marriage together.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mahlon Fauss, her parents-in-law, Roland and Pearl Fauss, and her brother-in-law, Robert Ingram.

Charlotte is survived by their three children: son Michael Fauss of Atlanta, GA, and two daughters Jennifer Fenton (David) and Krista Kay Berman (David), both of Williamstown, WV. She was blessed with four grandchildren: Adam Fenton (Brandie) and Andy Fenton (Jessie) both of Williamstown; Christopher Berman of Arlington, VA, and Emma Berman of Williamstown. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Maiya and Maddox Fenton, and Grayson and Hayes Fenton as well as her sister-in-law Eva Ingram of Winston-Salem, NC.

She and Mahlon together ran several businesses, including Vogue/Swift Cleaners and Jenny Lynn Fashions in Marietta, Ohio.

Charlotte’s warmth and generosity touched everyone she met, whether through her work, her church, or her circle of friends. Charlotte was well known in the area for her soprano singing voice. She sang in the church choir for over 50 years and was a member of the Choral Society in Parkersburg and the Sarah Circle of FUMC of Williamstown.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished family above all else. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and strength will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life is being planned with details to be shared once finalized.
