Kenneth Earl Reeder

Kenneth Earl Reeder, 76, of Marietta, passed away Jan. 6, 2024, at The Legacy of Marietta. He was born Dec. 14, 1947, in Wood County, WV a son of the late Kenner Earl and Beatrice Wells Reeder.

Mr. Reeder worked at A. B. Chance until its closing and then worked for Gazelle Transportation as a Diesel Mechanic. He was a 1966 graduate of Parkersburg High and an avid fan of Ohio State and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ken was a member of the Belpre Masonic Lodge #609, an Amateur Radio Operator and enjoyed sprint car racing.

Mr. Reeder proudly served his country in the U. S. Army and Reserve attaining the rank of Specialist 4 during the Vietnam War era.

Surviving are his two children: Marc Reeder of Belpre and Jennifer Reeder of Belpre, five grandchildren: Michael, Kody, Corey, Haylee and Joshua, nieces Denise Parsons (Cliff) of Belpre and Lisa Morrison of Parkersburg, two great-granddaughters Ellie Rose and Zariya Laray, nephew James McFarland (Mellessa) of Gastonia, NC along with several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Floyd McFarland and sister Thelma Potts.

There will be no visitation or funeral. A graveside service with full military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 15 Tuesday, Jan. 16th, at 1 p.m. at Evergreen North Cemetery.
