Max Edward Runion, 83, departed this life on Monday, October 23, 2017. Max was born on July 4, 1934 in Parkersburg, WV. He was the son of the late Roy and Clara (Collins) Runion. He was raised and lived in Parkersburg most of his life. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy. Max retired from El Chem (originally Union Carbide) with 35 yrs of service and moved to Florida.

Max loved life to the fullest but his greatest joy was serving the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a source of inspiration for all who knew him and the kindest, gentlest soul you would ever meet. He was loved by all. He loved sports and was an avid tennis player and runner.

Max leaves behind a wife, Fernande of Springfield, MA, one son, Rick Runion of Lakeland, FL and one sister, Pamela Runion of Parkersburg, WV. Max had two stepsons, Curtis St. Germain and wife Paula and Donald St. Germain and partner Jimmy of Springfield, MA. Max also had two grandchildren, Marisa Runion and Reid Runion of Lakeland, Fl. He had three step grandchildren, Karlie, Courtney, and Melissa as well as many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Robert Runion and Richard Runion.
