Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force announces arrest

An Akron man was arrested this week and charged with possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine, the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force announced. At approximately 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, agents with the task force initiated a traffic stop on a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze on Camden Avenue, near the East Street intersection, after observing a traffic violation, a release from the task force said. PARKERSBURG – A Waverly man has been charged with more than a dozen counts of wanton endangerment after allegedly firing a gun at a man with whom he was in a dispute. Christen Hall, 24, was in custody Friday afternoon at the Wood County Holding Facility on a $520,000 bond following his arrest Thursday evening, according to a release from Parkersburg Police Chief Matthew Board. Officials report pedestrian fatality in Washington County

MARIETTA – A man walking on Ohio 821 in Salem Township late Friday night was struck by a car and killed, the Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. Joseph Harriman, 27, of Lower Salem was walking north on Ohio 821 near milepost 7 where he was struck by a 2010 Ford Edge driven by Mitchell Carpenter, 24, of Lowell, the patrol said.
