PARKERSBURG – The Boys & Girls Club of Parkersburg has submitted an Intent to Apply for 21st Century Community Learning Center funding.

They propose to serve students and families in Wood County (Parkersburg and Mineral Wells).

An announcement from the organization says they look forward to community, school and parent collaboration to support student academic success and well-being through a broad range of services including academic enrichment, STEM, life and workforce readiness, social-emotional well-being, nutrition and physical activity, both during the school year and summer.

The club thanked the leadership at the West Virginia Department of Education for investing in critical out-of-school-time services in the state.
