Marietta firefighters provided additional information this morning about a body found in the Muskingum River Tuesday evening.

According to a post on the Facebook page of Marietta Firefighters Local 442, which represents members of the city’s Fire Department, the body of a middle-aged Caucasian male was found along the bank of the Muskingum River on the Harmar side. No identification was recovered and the body had been there for approximately a week, the post said.
