WVU Medicine Camden Clark Foundation raises $30,000 for cardiac care

More than 200 tickets were sold for the gala, which had a “Wizard of Oz” theme. The gala, from 7-10 p.m., had a “there’s no place like home for your heart” slogan.
The entire Parkersburg Country Club was reserved for the fundraiser with the ballroom being transformed into the “Emerald City.” The black-tie optional event included dancing, casino, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, confections and cocktails.
Plans for the new WVU Heart and Vascular Institute at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center were discussed at the gala. The three-story, 40,000-square-foot facility will be built along Garfield Avenue near the hospital. Construction is expected to begin in June for the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute at Camden Clark Medical Center.
