Letter to the Editor: Work for us
(Photo Illustration - MetroCreativeConnection - Letter to the Editor)
As a person who was born and raised on farms in Ohio, I was very upset when friends drove me past a site for a huge data center which will sit on some of the best farmland in the state. This is disgusting and very upsetting to learn that homes were being destroyed, the farm land will no longer produce for us.
What are we going to eat?
Then I saw many ugly homes that were identical on prime farm land, I guess “The Store” is transpiring before our eyes.
Here in West Virginia where we have a water problem, someone with way too much money wants to build these facilities without consulting the people who live here.
Will these centers produce electricity by placing solar panels on the roof?
Will they install windmills to produce the electricity they need?
What are our elected representatives doing about this? They are probably making money from the project.
We need people who will work for us in Parkersburg, Charleston, and Washington D.C.
Speak up, register to vote and vote for people who will take their oath seriously. Vote blue for clean water and air, better roads, schools, health care, etc.
