CHARLESTON — Active COVID-19 cases again rose over a 24-hour period in West Virginia, where a Wood County woman was among the 10 additional fatalities attributed to the virus, the Department of Health and Human Resources reported on Friday. CHARLESTON — The oral COVID-19 antiviral medications seeking emergency approval from the federal government are not intended as a booster to vaccinations, a West Virginia health officer said Wednesday.
