Three Wood County deaths among latest West Virginia COVID fatalities

CHARLESTON — Three residents of Wood County were among the 16 additional deaths from the COVID-19 coronavirus reported on Friday by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. Confirmed dead are an 89-year-old man, an 83-year-old man and a 90-year-old man from Wood County and a 57-year-old man from Ritchie County, the department said. CHARLESTON — The number of COVID-19 cases is dropping both nationally and in West Virginia, but deaths from the virus have yet to follow that trend, according to state officials. Gov.
