Wetzel County woman among West Virginia COVID deaths
CHARLESTON — A Wetzel County resident was one of two deaths from the COVID-19 coronavirus confirmed Monday by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. The department reported two more deaths from the virus on Monday, an 85-year-old woman from Wetzel County and an 87-year-old man from Greenbrier County. The deaths raise the death toll since the pandemic began in 2020 was at 6,796 residents, the state said.
