West Virginia officials report 2.5K active COVID cases
CHARLESTON — Statewide active COVID-19 cases were at 2,501 Monday, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. The department also reported it has received 2,131 new cases of the virus since the Friday update. Taking into account recovered cases, the increase in active cases since the Friday report was 205. Current active cases in local counties as of Monday (previous report) were: Calhoun 6 (6), Doddridge 4 (3), Gilmer 2 (2), Jackson 7 (13), Pleasants 4 (3), Ritchie 12 (9), Roane 16 (8), Tyler 8 (7), Wetzel 21 (13), Wirt 8 (5), and Wood 46 (41).
