Officials report four Mid-Ohio Valley COVID deaths

CHARLESTON — Four Mid-Ohio Valley residents’ deaths were attributed to COVID-19 in the latest report from the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. A 78-year-old Roane County woman, an 89-year-old Gilmer County woman, a 77-year-old Jackson County man and an 80-year-old Wood County woman were among 20 deaths listed in the DHHR’s Thursday morning report. CHARLESTON — Active COVID-19 cases in West Virginia rose to 3,154 but no deaths were reported in Wednesday’s update from the state Department of Health and Human Resources. CHARLESTON — The number of active COVID-19 cases in West Virginia remained above 3,000 Monday. More than 2,200 new cases were reported since Friday’s update from the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, but with other cases moving off of active status, the total declined slightly from 3,358 to 3,159. West Virginia: No COVID deaths, but active cases jump up

CHARLESTON — No deaths from the COVID-19 coronavirus were reported on Friday, but active cases rose by more than 130 since Thursday, according to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. Hospitalizations statewide also jumped up by 26 between Thursday and Friday, according to the department. The state reported 3,358 active cases, up 137 from Thursday.
