Washington-Morgan Community Action offers free summer meals for children in Washington County

Washington-Morgan Community Action will sponsor the Summer Food Service Program, offering free grab-and-go meals to children this summer. Meals will be available to children 18 and younger, as well as people older than 18 who have been determined by a state or local public educational agency to be medically or physically disabled. The program begins Monday, June 8, with meals served Monday through Friday at sites in Beverly, Lower Salem, Lowell, Vincent, Belpre, Marietta and New Matamoras. PARKERSBURG - The Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department and the American Red Cross of the Central Appalachia Region are partnering in two events to recruit additional volunteers to aid in disasters and health emergencies.
