North End vs. South Side

The Wendy’s Fundraiser for the Mid-Ohio Valley Tennis Association (MOVTA) is set for 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 17.

The dinner is scheduled at two Wendy’s sites in Parkersburg (2602 Gihon Road or 7th Street).

Ten percent of all sales will go towards Mid-Ohio Valley Tennis programs. No flyer is needed.

MOVTA Youth Tennis Tournament

The 2025 MOVTA Summer Tennis Tournament will be held July 26-27 at Jackson Park tennis courts.

Play may begin as early as 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 26. Playing times will be available by calling Mike Politz at 304-588-0809 after 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 24.

The format will be round-robin play in approximate two-hour time blocks. Match format will vary based on the number of players in each age group/event.

Players may play in up to two events. It is a non-sanctioned tournament, so the event is open to all USTA and non-USTA players.

All singles events are $15 per event and all doubles events are $15 per individual, per event ($30 per team). The events are Boys and Girls 10u, 12u, and 14U.

West Virginia Baseball Camp

The WVU Baseball Camp will be held at The Dugout in Parkersburg from 4-7 p.m. on July 24.

The camp is designed for kids ages 5-12.
