PARKERSBURG — Give Local MOV 2025 is underway.

The 24-hour online giving event that started at midnight today supports 67 nonprofit organizations in the Mid-Ohio Valley through contributions and more than $200,000 in matching funds and prizes available, giving donations an even greater impact.

Give Local MOV is organized by the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation. The foundation provides the secure online giving platform, covers campaign costs and offers training for participating nonprofits. Sponsors, including Superior Toyota and the Mary M. Welch Advised Fund of the community foundation, contribute to the matching funds pool.

Hourly cash prizes sponsored by local businesses will reward nonprofits whose supporters donate throughout the day.

Go to www.GiveLocalMOV.org today to donate to a favorite nonprofit. Donations must be made by credit or debit card during the 24-hour period from midnight to 11:59 p.m. to count toward matching funds and prizes.

To support all 67 participating organizations, contribute to the Give Local MOV Stretch Pool. Contributions to the pool will be evenly distributed among all participants. Participating organizations are involved with animals, arts and culture, community improvement, education, the environment, health, human services and youth development.

The event raised $518,000 in 2024.
