Marietta College recognizes Fall 2023 graduates at special ceremony
MARIETTA — Mid-Ohio Valley students were among the 41 graduating Dec. 10 in a special ceremony in the Alma McDonough Auditorium.
They were:
* Bryce Agnew of Marietta, bachelor’s of arts in sports management. Agnew is a graduate of Berea-Midpark High School.
* Noah Anderson of Marietta, bachelor’s of science in applied physics. Anderson is a graduate of Meigs High School.
* Calista Barnes-Pierotti of Little Hocking, bachelor’s of science in sports medicine. Barnes-Pierotti is a graduate of Gallia Academy High School.
* Lindsey Bishop of Marietta, bachelor’s of arts in psychology. Bishop is a graduate of George Ranch High School.
* Isabelle Bradley of Parkersburg, bachelor’s of arts in graphic design. Bradley is a graduate of Parkersburg South High School.
* Brandon Braham of Parkersburg, bachelor’s of arts in marketing. Braham is a graduate of Parkersburg High School.
* McKenzie Cameron of Vincent, bachelor’s of fine arts in theater-design and technology. Cameron is a graduate of Warren High School.
* Kayleanna Cochran of Newport, bachelor’s of science in biology. Cochran is a graduate of Frontier High School.
* Jonathan Elliott of Marietta, bachelor’s of arts in finance and accounting. Elliott is a graduate of Marietta High School.
* Jared Farnsworth of Newport, bachelor’s of science in health science. Farnsworth is a graduate of Marietta High School.
* Loren Henthorne, Marietta, bachelor’s of arts in accounting.
* Kam Hesson of Macksburg, bachelor’s of science in biology. Hesson is a graduate of Caldwell High School.
* Evan Lauer of Newport, bachelor’s of arts in graphic design. Lauer is a graduate of Frontier High School.
* Olivia Martin of Vincent, bachelor’s of arts in graphic design. Martin is a home school graduate.
* Brier Offenberger of Waterford, bachelor’s of arts in political science. Offenberger is a graduate of Waterford High School.
* Rachel Schofield of Marietta, bachelor’s of arts in communication and marketing. Schofield is a graduate of Marietta High School.
* Dawson Van Dine of Marietta, bachelor’s of arts in graphic design. Van Dine is a graduate of Marietta High School.
* Grace West of Vienna, bachelor’s of science in environmental engineering. West is a graduate of Parkersburg High School.
* Grace Wharton of Waterford, bachelor’s of arts in political science. Wharton is a graduate of Warren High School.
* Dalton Wiggins of Mineral Wells, bachelor’s of science in applied physics. Wiggins is a graduate of Parkersburg South High School.
The college graduated 41 students in 23 fields of study. Commencement speakers were President Margaret L. Drugovich and Provost Kathleen Dougherty.
“I hope that you will remember this as a time of challenge and change and personal growth and satisfaction,” Drugovich said.
Graduates also spoke, including Loren Henthorne of Marietta, who thanked her son.
“You make me want to be a better person every day and I did this for you,” she said.
