Kevin Farley taking Smoot Theatre stage for Comedy Night

PARKERSBURG — The performers have been announced for the return of Comedy Night sponsored by the Parkersburg Homecoming.
Kevin Farley and special guest Dan “The Educated Redneck” Ellison will appear 8 p.m. March 25 at the Smoot Theatre in downtown Parkersburg with Joel Gant as host. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Tickets are available online at smootheatre.com and are $25 for VIP and $20 for general admission.
Farley has performed around the world for over three decades.
An internationally recognized talent, he got his start studying at the famous Second City in Chicago. Soon after he starred in “Black Sheep” with his brother Chris and “The Waterboy” with Adam Sandler.
He had leading roles in “An American Carol” and “White Knight” and has made guest appearances on “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Rules of Engagement,” “Just Shoot Me “and Comedy Central’s “Drunk History.”
Farley has hosted many live shows and events and has been featured on “The Today Show,” “The View,” “Extra,” “Good Morning America” and radio shows from coast-to-coast.
Farley also is a voice to “F is for Family” on Netflix, has a podcast “Kevin Farley on the Road” and performs stand-up comedy at the best comedy venues and theaters nationwide.
“We are pleased to be bring comedy back to the Smoot,” Homecoming President Kyle Pierce said. “Part of our mission statement is to support downtown tourism and support downtown businesses. We hope our guests will come downtown early, eat at one of the local downtown specialty restaurants and then enjoy the show. Hopefully we can attract out of town visitors who might decide to spend the night at one of our downtown hotels, we want our show to be successful for everyone.”
