PARKERSBURG – Ohio Valley Bank hosted a grand opening event Oct. 24 to celebrate the new OVB Parkersburg Loan Office.

Located in the back portion of the State Farm office building at 1035 Murdoch Ave. and accessible from the door marked with the OVB logo, the office is operated by Shawn Sandy, OVB vice president, business development officer.

During the grand opening event, Sandy said he was excited to extend OVB’s Community First mission to the Mid-Ohio Valley. Jill Parsons, president and CEO of the Mid-Ohio Valley Chamber of Commerce, greeted guests as the event emcee and the chamber livestreamed the event.

OVB Chief Operating & Risk Officer Ryan Jones described the bank’s longstanding tradition of using a “money ribbon” for grand openings. The money ribbon funds are donated to a local charity as a reflection of the bank’s community-first mission. For the Parkersburg Loan Office grand opening, Sandy presented the $500 money ribbon funds to the Camden Clark Foundation’s Pink Mammogram Fund.

Following the donation presentation, Sandy invited guests to tour the new office as well as enjoy refreshments provided by JRs Donut Castle.
