PARKERSBURG — A local author has reprinted two books about murder in the Mid-Ohio Valley.

David Morehead of Quill and Scroll Ltd. said “Death is No Stranger” and “Death is No Stranger: The Sequel” were popular sellers and his stock sold out.

“Both of these books concern high-profile crime in the area,” Morehead said.

“Death is No Stranger” reached the top 5 for the genre on amazon.com, according to Morehead.

“People were trying to buy or sell it for $800,” he said.

The books are $25 each, $50 for both and $54 with shipping, Morehead said. The sequel is hard-bound and the first is only available as soft-bound, he said.

Morehead can be contacted at 142 South Meadow Drive, Mineral Wells, or at 304 482-2928 and 304 489-2214. He is not set up to accept cards and can accept checks.

Morehead is working on another book about Thomas Dillon, a serial killer who murdered five sportsmen in Southeast Ohio, including Gary Bradley, 44, of Williamstown who was shot April 5, 1992, while fishing near Ca;ldwell in Noble County.

The book is titled “The Human Hunter,” Morehead said.

“It concerns Thomas Dillon, the worst killer ever sought in the state of Ohio,” Morehead said.

Starting at $2.99/week.
