Letter to the Editor: Wake up

Where were the people when this regime was elected to ruin our country? I have been told by the staff of Representative Riley Moore that over 11 million people voted for this mess.

Did he, Mr. Moore, and others vote to murder 37 people in this country by ICE? Did he vote to encourage rape of those people sent to disgusting places called prisons?

Are we safer than we were one year ago?

Here in Wood County, West Virginia, the lawmakers of the city of Parkersburg purchased a huge, armored vehicle for the police department but could not afford to pay the people who pick up the trash a living wage.

The other day I went to a friend’s house in Parkersburg and had great difficulty getting there because the city was working on a break in a water line on 13th Street. A resident told me that was the fourth time they were working on it.

Did the city receive funding from the infrastructure bill? How was that spent?

This city and state are failing to assist the people who live here. Wake up people. We have lost so many people that we now have two U.S. Representatives in Washington, D.C. When my husband and I moved her fourteen years ago, we had three U.S. Representatives.

Now the mayor and some council members want to privatize the sanitation department, If they truly want this, then they will not bill the residents and KEEP their hands off the trash. Let the company do the billing and transporting.
