Letter to the Editor: Trump still worth it

The letter in the Sunday, Aug. 21, newspaper titled “Was it worth it?” contains several misstatements, which need corrected.

First, that a majority of Americans were satisfied with Roe is incorrect. Americans are about evenly divided over Roe. Roe was improperly decided by an activist court in 1973. Overturning Roe, returning the decision back to the states, was the proper decision. It was worth it.

Second, Hillary Clinton was never exonerated over her emails. James Comey, the then FBI director, stated Hillary was guilty of multiple offenses. She was never prosecuted, being a Democrat.

Trump is accused of keeping dozens of boxes of top-secret files at a Mar-A-Lago, which he declassified while president. Obama, Clinton, and both Bushes did the same while they were president.

Trump being a Republican, and the 2024 presidential front runner, is being persecuted, not prosecuted, by Biden’s corrupt department of injustice, led by Merrick Garland. If Trump actually had illegal top-secret files, why did the FBI wait 18 months to retrieve them, except to hurt Trump before the upcoming mid-terms? Until Trump is not just accused but is proven guilty of an actual crime, he is worth trust and loyalty.

Third, Republicans voted against the Democrats’ 15% minimum tax on the wealthy, because it would be passed down to the lower and middle class increasing their tax burden. Trump is still worth your support.

Fourth, Trump continues to say he won the 2020 election. The 2022 election was rife with fraud, in the six swing states, which were never investigated. When the Republicans retake the House next year, they plan to investigate the election perhaps, we will then know who won and who lost with no doubts.

Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, and the other “responsible” members of the Republican Party are gone. They betrayed their party and the American people.

Sixth, Trump almost brought an end to the United States of America. America was prospering under Trump. Under Biden we have record high inflation, record high gasoline, and energy prices, record crime in major blue cities, millions of illegals pouring across our wide southern border with illegal drugs, the Second Amendment under attack, etc. Due to Biden’s failing policies. Was it worth all of this to remove Trump from office? Unlike Biden, Trump is not done. He is still worth it.
